Our host families are kind, reliable, and genuinely enjoy welcoming young people into their homes.

1. Understanding the student’s needs
   Before making any placement, we get to know each student as an individual. We consider their age, personality, dietary requirements, cultural background, and any personal preferences. This helps us identify the most suitable home environment for them to thrive.

2. Carefully selected host families
   All our host families go through a thorough application and safeguarding process. This includes:

   ✔️ Enhanced DBS checks for all adults in the household
   ✔️ Reference checks
   ✔️ Ongoing training and support

3. Thoughtful matching
   We don’t make placements at random. We take time to match students with host families based on shared interests, location, and lifestyle. Whenever possible, we aim for consistency — so students return to the same host family during each school break, building trust and familiarity over time.

4. Clear communication
   Before each stay, we confirm all details with both the host family and the student. Travel arrangements are coordinated in advance, and a mileage allowance is provided to families when they are asked to collect or return students to school.

5. Ongoing support
   Throughout the student’s stay, we maintain regular contact to ensure everything is going smoothly. If any issues arise, our team is available 24/7 to step in and help.
